Marketing/Product Research Intern

Work Hours: M-F 9a-5p

Wages: $17/hr.

Location: Spokane, WA

Position Overview

Performs research on competition and market via internet, internal databases, and other online tools. Support marketing with report building and summarizing data. Utilize and organize existing documents, collaborate with other departments, and attend meetings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Developing tools and methods for collecting data such as surveys, opinion polls or questionnaires.
  • Measuring consumer satisfaction with products or services through data collection and analysis.
  • Creating graphic representations of data and translating complex research into easily readable content for stakeholders and other departments.
  • Conduct research via internet and other webbased tools.
  • Manage multiple small projects.
  • Maintain/archive project documentation.
  • Manage and update the department database.
  • Identify, communicate, escalate, and resolve project issues and risks to department management.
  • Collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, on all aspects of projects.
  • Participate in planning and coordinating content.
  • Assist in development of production SOPs.
  • Foster relationships with staff, peers, and business unit.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Familiarity with consumer psychology and buying habits.
  • Ability to quickly learn and process information.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to achieve goals under minimal supervision.
  • Able to effectively communicate technical information, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work with extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, twisting, or lifting.

Mechanical Engineer Intern

Work Hours: M- F 8:30a-5p

Wages: $17/hr.

Location: Post Falls, Idaho

Position Overview

Mechanical Engineer Intern will be working to improve product quality for existing and future products.  They will be called upon to follow quality assurance procedures where recording data, generating reports, and analyzing data/reports will be key functions. They will utilize, maintain, and organize documents. They will collaborate in creating test fixtures and writing procedures.

An ideal candidate would be a third of fourth year engineering student in an accredited ME or MET program with a self-stater attitude and an aptitude for hands-on activities.

The Mechanical Engineer Intern will report to the Quality Engineer Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of quality improvement measures.
  • Perform parts inspections and vendor reviews as part of incoming quality programs.
  • Create a system for organizing and maintaining regulatory compliance documents.
  • Perform verification and validation tests to assist new product development.
  • Interpret data and report findings from testing.
  • Assist in development of production SOPs.
  • Design and fabricate test fixturing.
  • Create protypes by 3D printing and metal fabrication.

Qualifications

  • Third- or fourth-year student in four-year engineering program (ME or MET).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical data sheets.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (Solidworks, OnShape).
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to achieve goals under minimal supervision.
  • Able to effectively communicate technical information, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work with extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, twisting, or lifting.
  • Lift 50+ lbs. multiple times per day.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Software Engineer Intern

Work Hours: M-F 8:30a-5p

Wages: $17/hr.

Location: Post Falls, Idaho

Position Overview

Support engineering team by programming (C++), verification and validation testing for products. Testing will include documentation, and prototyping responsibilities.
